“Qu Shui Liu Shang (Floating Wine Cups Along the Meandering Stream)”
Qu Shui Liu Goblet” is a light and shadow work of the 54th Chengdu International Panda Lantern Festival held in Jiangtan Park of Chengdu Hi-Tech Zone, which is centered on the themes of panda culture, ancient Shu culture, Three Kingdoms culture, river culture, poetry culture and other themes to create a new type of light and shadow art products, aiming at incubating cultural tourism IP with temperature and polishing the business card of non-legacy. The work consists of a series of unmanned boats carrying wine glasses on the lake to interact with the water screen projection work. The floating wine glasses drifted and danced along the winding path, and the lights intertwined with the movement curves in the water, creating a combination of dynamic and static beauty, symbolizing the perfect fusion of “poetry” and “wine”. Under the sparkling, rippling water and the lightness of the wine cups, the audience can feel a sense of tranquility and relaxation, as if they were in the scene, listening to the elegant chanting of the ancients. The work conveys not only a tribute to traditional culture, but also a call for contemporary humanistic feelings. In every interplay of light and shadow, the audience seems to be able to feel those soft-spoken ancient literati, holding wine glasses, chanting together verses that flow like clouds and water. Such an experience allows one to reflect on one's own life and realize the deepest yearning and pursuit of beauty.
